Before you can actually sell a home, you need to complete a state-mandated prelicensing course and then complete a state exam. In Indiana you must be at least 18 years old. You are required to take a 54 hour course in Real Estate Practices and Indiana license law. Generally these courses are taught as evening classes, two nights a week for 9 weeks. After completing the courses you will then need to pass a state exam.
